Oakgrove Charity Swim Fundraiser 2025
You are welcome to attend our charity fundraiser on Friday 1st August 2025. It will be open between 9am – 3pm, raising money for two charities – Doctors Without Borders and The Alzheimer Society of Ireland.
Doctors Without Borders – is an international humanitarian organisation providing medical care in over 70 countries. Since 1971, this medical charity has been treating people caught in complex crises and chronic healthcare emergencies around the world.
The Alzheimer Society of Ireland – The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is the leading dementia-specific service provider in Ireland. The ASI works across the country in the heart of local communities, providing dementia-specific services and supports and advocating for the rights and needs of all people living with dementia and their carers.
We will run 1-to-1 swim lessons with volunteer swim teachers for 30 minutes each, and we are asking for a minimum donation of €20 for this half hour swim lesson with a qualified and experienced swim teacher. All proceeds will go to the charities mentioned.
In addition, we are excited to host a bake sale where lost of tasty treats will be on offer, with coffee and tea. General collection buckets will also be there to collect donations. All donations are kindly appreciated.
